Movie: Huygens on Titan, one year after

Since its arrival at Saturn in July 2004 the Cassini-Huygens mission has opened new vistas on the ringed planet. It has studied the planet itself, the rings and other satellites, but one of the prime targets was Saturn's largest moon, Titan.

The highlight of 2005 was the ESA Huygens probe's landing on Titan on 14 January. Its images revealed that Titan's atmosphere is very dynamic and the place is very windy.

Cassini is still returning large amounts of data. It will take years to fully analyse them and there is plenty of work for many generations of scientists.
